A weekend excursion to Chongming Island. Active or relaxing, it’s up to you!
Visit a organic farm, walk around the farm, see the crops, blossom flowers, touch and smell the soil. Harvest season now, you can experience farmer’s life for one day, enjoy harvesting paddy, seeing how farmer get the coarse grain off the chaff. Scarecrow is farmer’s best friend, there is a scarecrow making competition after our hard work.
Let’s bike together along the beach of the river around the island with great beautiful nature views in the fresh air and greens! Or you can make your own meal; we are going to teach you make local Chinese dishes. Eat the healthy and real organic food in our glass house.
Have you ever tried the most popular games in China — Mahjong? At the day, we are going to teach you to know about Mahjong, the rules and how to play it.

The Itinerary
Saturday, November 1st
9:00-10:30: Arrive the start point of biking at Chongming Island.
10:30-11:00: Warm-up game.
11:00-13:00: Lunch. (The farm Ayi will prepare some delicious food for us! All the vegetables and rice are organic from the farm)
13:00-14:30: Hanging out in the farm, shrimp & crab catching
14:30-17:30: Harvest the paddy, rice decorating, making scarecrow
17:30-19:30: Barbecue
Sunday, November 2nd
7:30- 8:30: Breakfast
9:00-11:00: Biking at Chongming Island. Or Learn to cook local Chinese dishes.
11:00-13:00: Lunch (Eat the dishes you have made yourselves)
13:00-13:30: Rest
13:30-16:00: Games
16:30-18:30: Back to Shanghai by bus.
Fee:reservation required. 649 yuan per person, 599 yuan if pay in advance, include the transportation, meals & drinks, BBQ, and accommodation (Tent on the farm, sleeping bag included, if you bring your own sleeping bag, 30 yuan reducing).
Option: we also have rooms in nongjiale, 50 yuan additional cost per person.
