Wanna enlighten your weekend and learn about Chinese culture? A social gathering party mix Chinese traditional folk art and Italian authentic cooking, at an old, renovated private club on the Bund. Sound interesting?
Chinese Paper Cutting or Jianzhi is a folk art, very popular in old China. People make paper cutting, and use them as decoration of window, door, lantern for a festival atmosphere. Paper cutting covers nearly all themes, from flowers, animals, Chinese characters, daily life, legends, to the makeup of Beijing opera. In modern society, fewer and fewer people learn this skill.
Enjoy the cooking process of authentic Italian Pasta alla Bolognese. In addition, you are welcome to come and learn about the art of cocktail making with the demonstration of a sophisticated Italian traditional cocktail: Watermelon Punch. Chat and make friends with our international community, and be amazed by our pasta making and cocktail mix workshops, in which you will also have the opportunity to be a chef and a bartender for one day. Subway: Line 4, Nanpu Bridge Station on the 1st exit out after walking along Lujiabang Road to the Emperor Dragon Hotel (giant dragon boat), turn left on Waima Road and walk three minutes to the outer pier creative Park (shown below), walk about 5-7 minutes.
